Hand Coloured Photography

Hand-Colored Black & White Prints

Hand coloring of black & white prints in the early 1900’s was a method to achieve color in prints in a time when color photography was unheard of. This technique was quickly forgotten when color photography appeared. In the many hours needed to hand color each print, Peter creates dream-like scenes in his interpretation of color and settings, thus no two prints are alike.
